Our Team

Our Instructor Team is made up of some very experienced martial artists who all work exceptionally hard to offer the most rewarding classes for our students. You can read a little about them below.

Master Karim Belgacem and Master Tracey Belgacem are our Head Instructors. Both have been involved in martial arts their whole lives.

Together, they have built the school from five or six members, meeting in various community spaces, to one of the biggest in the country and their own full-time facility.

They believe there is a place for everyone in the martial arts and take great pride in maintaining an environment welcoming to all.

You can contact them here.

Ms Dorothy Mallon is one of the most experienced Tae Kwon Do instructors in Scotland. She teaches a variety of our classes, including our Panthers classes, Kids classes and Adult classes.

Her journey in martial arts has included running her own full-time academy in the USA before returning to Scotland to raise her daughter.

Ms Mallon is completely dedicated to teaching the most informative and engaging classes.

A true asset to Belgacem's School of Cho's Tae Kwon Do.

Mrs Leanne Lyons is our Child Protection Officer and Head Instructor of our Additional Support Needs (ASN) classes.

Mrs Lyons is vastly experienced, having travelled in both Europe and the USA to train and learn from some of our association's most respected Grandmasters and Masters.

This includes a visit to the World Headquarters in Hawaii, USA, to train and be graded under Grandmaster Hee Il Cho.

Mrs Fiona Gray is one of our longest-serving black belt students and plays a pivotal role in our Instructor team.

She is equally comfortable leading classes and assisting in classes and brings a unique calmness and support to our students.

Mrs Gray has been a part of the school through its full evolution. From renting local council halls with five or six students to the full-time facility, we now have.

Mr Gerry McKimm is a second-degree black belt and one of our Panthers Instructors. He is tremendous at working with our youngest students in our Panthers' Classes, which are for children aged 3 - 7.

Mr. McKimm is also a hugely experienced competitor and World Champion.

He offers great support for all of our competitors and continues to compete himself, leading by example and still enjoying getting on the mats.
